Great pictures! Regarding the last one, its a kind of optical illusion, probably in san francisco where there are houses on very steep hills. The photographer has tilted the camera so the road looks flat and the houses look tilted. In reality, the houses are straight up-and-down going up a very steep hill, and the road is sharply, almost diagonally, angled.

You can easily see this if you print out the picture and then rotate it so all the houses are straight up-and-down. Then you will see they are really “normal” houses built on the side of a steep hill.
